ZERO-E.....

Herdings Park Sculpture Trail (Phase 2) (Link to Phase 1)

After the first phase which saw the installation of the ‘Cow and barrage Balloon’ entance feature, funding for the second phase of a sculpture trail for Herdings Park as been  secured. During the latest creative workshops with local schools and community groups; bold and dynamic landmarks were developed  to suggest new ways of  using the park. Local young people working with artist Robin Dobson have created their own sculptural characters, and will later help paint bold colourful graphics for the individual sculptures.
Poems and interactive features are also being integrated into the design to encourage public participation and exploration of previously ignored greenspaces.

‘The Squox’
2007 Sharrow Lantern Carnival,
Robin worked with local people during a willow and paper lantern workshops to create ‘The Squox’ a kind of squirrel/fox type creature with internal lighting.

A great Sheffield event long may it continue.....

 News - Current  and scheduled projects

‘ZERO-E’ is a sculpture created by robin Dobson which promotes the idea of zero emission transport options. The vehicle will demonstrate two  examples in one dynamic artwork.
 
‘Z ERO-E’ will be a twin-cycle-powered skateboarder 12ft high, 12ft wide and 8ft long.
